Dropping just in time to celebrate Yamamoto’s 80th birthday in 2023, this Yohji Yamamoto x adidas Stan Smith “Black” evokes a stealthy vibe that resonates with the avant-garde Y-3 design concepts.

Formed in 2002 and launched the following year, the adidas Y-3 became one of the most influential collaborations from the German sportswear giant, spanning over 20 years of luxe designs on a wide range of sneakers and apparel. First seen on the Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 23-24 collection, this adidas Stan Smith flaunts a premium leather base coated in an all-black shade, highlighted by a contrasting white tongue featuring Yohji Yamamoto’s face graphic. Additional Yohji branding appears on the debossed heel alongside the classic Trefoil emblem and another on the sheepskin sockliner. The blacked-out rubber outsole completes this premium take on the iconic tennis trainer.
